Edward Guglielmino is a chameleon and a comedian; marrying his left field abstract-folk-rock with a sincere honesty. Ed has gained strong tastemaker respect and a burgeoning underground following in his home country, Australia and further afield.

A brief history of achievements:

2011 sees Guglielmino working on his upcoming release Ed G & The Show with producer Jamie Trevaskis (the producer responsible for such local classics as Mckisko, Texas Tea’s ‘The Junk Ship Recordings’ and the aria nominated Wilson Pickers Record ‘The Land Of The Powerful Owl’), playing shows in New York and touring the east coast with Kate Nash amongst other artists. Guglielmino has worked with C…hris Perren on the Sound Crane project, a collaborative album composed in order to raise money for the tsunami victims in Japan and contributed to the Independent Music Projects’ Hundred Songs event.

A brief history of achievements:

In 2010 Guglielmino’s gig with David McCormack on the 18th of April was recently listed as one of the 10 highlights of the April by ‘Australia’s Year In Music 2010’ His single ‘Settle Down With Me’ was also released and received airplay on Triple J, FBI, 3rrr RTR and Edge Fm. It was also a featured release on Itunes Australia.

In 2009 Ed released his critically acclaimed album Late At Night distributed by MGM and Mucho Bravado, the album has sold well over 1000 copies independently. He also participated in the Songs of Applewood project teaming up with Isaac Emmanuel (Flamingo Crash) to write the song Outside Outside a project favorite. He also toured nationally and regionally as a part of the United Tour (playing over 25 shows in 3 months). He also played as a part of the Big Sound Live line up at X and Y bar. Both his singles Fail With Me and Rhythm of life were played on Triple J and received B rotation on FBI, spot rotation on 3rrr and Edge FM. Meanwhile locally Late at Night was in the 4zzz top ten most played for two weeks. Guglielmino also worked on a side project with British Music Journalist Everett True and ‘The Gin Clubs” Scottie Regan titled ‘The Thin Kids’.

In 2007 Guglielmino was shortlisted for Grant McLennan Fellowship and his single Tacky Song was runner-up in the Alternative Category at the Q Song Awards.

In 2006 & 2005 Guglielmino toured Germany and Australia in support of his home recorded release Tacky Ep which received rotation on Motor FM Berlin, and a fair few spins on Triple J and Community radio (4zzz, FBI 3rrr and Edge FM).
